The Caslen Way
Caslen Living Centers, Inc. is a privately owned company based in Billings, Montana. With assisted living homes in six cities and one independent living facility, Caslen is equipped to meet the needs of the aging population across Montana.
History
Caslen Living Centers was founded in 2006 by cousins Michael White and Gayle Laufer. The first facility acquired was Meadowlark Manor in Whitehall, Montana in 2007. In 2008, New Horizons Assisted Living in Livingston was acquired and then in 2011, New Horizons in Anaconda and Lewistown were purchased. Anaconda still operates as New Horizons while Livingston and Lewistown operate under the name of Caslen Living Centers. On October 1, 2012 Caslen entered into a five year lease of Meadowlark Assisted Living in Columbus. Stillwater County Hospital had previously operated the facility. The newest addition to Caslen was August 1, 2016 with the purchase of Son Heaven Assisted Living in Helena. This brings the total areas in Montana where Caslen offers services to six.
“Caslen”
When co-owners and cousins Mike and Gayle sat down to name their assisted living company, they wanted something meaningful to the both of them. By combining the names of their mutual grandparents, grandpa Casimer and grandma Helen, the name Caslen was born.
